Used for card weaving or belt weaving this shuttle is tapered, so it will function well as a beater. After the weft is wound on the shuttle, the end is drawn through the hole. This prevents accidental unwinding. The handle allows beating without your hand being in the weaving. They are 10" x 2-1/4", sanded silky smooth and  finished  with Finniwig beeswax wood finish.
